Hi there and welcome my new site. I have so many great things to talk with you about and I thought a new website was the perfect place to start. We're just getting into wedding season for 2020, so I plan to be posting to my journal about weddings, engagement sessions, and just a number of other photographic sessions I'll be shooting this year. While all of this will be happening, I will be talking to a lot of wonderful new couples this year that are planning their for weddings in 2021 and even into 2022. I'm amazed how far in advance couples need to be planning for their wedding day, especially if they have chosen a wedding day that is in prime wedding season.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that maybe you're planning for your big day and you're looking at numerous wedding professionals to see who will be the fit you are looking for when looking at style, personality, professionalism, and without a doubt, your budget. The one wedding professional that you hire that will be with you the most on your wedding day is your photographer. I'm not saying that because it's what I do, ..... it's the truth! As a wedding and engagement photographer, I love getting to know my couples because for me, it's just not about your wedding day. I have been fortunate to make strong friendships with couples that, before they hired me, probably met me only once at a consultation at a Panera or Starbucks. So, come wedding day, I'm not just photographing another wedding. I'm capturing moments and memories for two incredible people that I know and I call my friends.
Let's talk just a little about your budget when looking for a photographer for your big day. As I mentioned, your photographer will be with you more than any other wedding professional you hire for your wedding day. Every professional you hire will spend some amount of time with you before your wedding day in making plans for ceremony location, reception venue, catering, music and entertainment, dresses, tuxes, transportation, florists,....(big breath)....and photography. At the end of your wedding day, only one of these professionals is still working for you,.....your photographer. Prior to the wedding day, I do my best to make myself extremely available to my couples to help with timelines, requested photos and poses, and so on. My time from the moment I leave my home until I get back is anywhere from 8 to 14 hours on a wedding day. But, when everyone else is finished providing there services for your wedding day, I'll still spend another 40 - 60 hours to edit your photos before delivering a gallery for you to view. I know we've both seen the work of "budget" photographers that simply "take pictures" at a wedding, and POOF, they're done and posted. But, this isn't birthday party or a family picnic. This is your wedding day. I'm sure, at this point in time, it's the biggest day of your life!
So, please take a look around at some of my work. be sure to check out the "Before and After" section under the Information tab. If you have any questions, drop me a line or give me a call and I'll be happy to help. And I hope to hear from you soon!
