So often I'm asked what is happening when I'm editing photographs from a wedding or engagement session. Sometimes, the situation is not exactly ideal when a photo is taken. Most of the time, my editing consists of color corrections, adjusting exposures, contrast, shadows, or maybe cropping the image because Uncle Joe is in the background, off to one side with his fork in hand, just getting ready to take another bite of Aunt Betty's secret recipe cheesecake that she made especially for the wedding. Well, maybe it's not a secret recipe, but you get the point.
Here are a few Before and After shots. Please be sure to click on the images to see them full screen. There is NO magic button in Photoshop that goes "POP" and removes something or someone from a photo. Editing can be very time intensive. So, when comparing packages from one photographer to another, ask yourself, are they are providing edited photographs that will stand out and give you fine art that you'll be proud to show off to family and friends.
